What is a color-by-number mystery?+
The starting grid shows symbols instead of the final picture. Match each symbol to the color key, fill the cells, and watch the hidden image gradually appear.
Do I need coloring or puzzle experience?+
No. If you can match a symbol to a color, you can begin. The collection ranges from approachable mysteries to longer, more detailed challenges, so you can work at your own pace.
Which coloring tools can I use?+
Colored pencils and fine-tip markers are both natural choices. Test unfamiliar pens before coloring; final paper and bleed-through guidance will be published with the confirmed book specification.
Will I see the finished picture before I start?+
Only if you choose to. Public examples are clearly labeled, and the book-owner Companion keeps completed reveals behind a deliberate spoiler confirmation.

What is in the Free Starter Pack?+
The pack brings together eight printable Hidden Japan mysteries, the palette guidance needed to color them, and access to the optional 8-Puzzle Starter Pack Companion.
Is the Starter Pack really free?+
Yes. No purchase, paid membership, nickname, or Companion account will be required. Email signup and download delivery are still being connected, so this public page does not collect an email address yet.
How will I receive the pack?+
When delivery is activated, the complete pack will be available immediately after signup and the same download link will be sent by email. All eight puzzles will arrive together, not on separate days.
Why is an email address requested?+
When delivery opens, the email address will deliver the download link and sign you up for occasional Kakure Pixel Studio emails about new puzzles, books, and studio news. This will be stated beside the signup button, and every update will include a one-click unsubscribe link. No email is collected yet.
May I share or resell the files?+
The Starter Pack is for the recipient’s personal use. Please do not resell, upload, or redistribute the files or collect them into another product.

What is the Hidden Japan Companion?+
It is an optional book-owner tool for matching pens, checking puzzle colors, saving personal pen choices, revealing completed artwork, downloading a personal-use Print Again PDF, and discovering cultural notes after coloring.
How do I open the Companion?+
Scan the QR code beside the Puzzle you are coloring. It opens only that Puzzle. If the QR will not scan, visit the short address printed beside it and enter the same four-character code. Scanned Puzzles appear in My scanned puzzles in that browser; unscanned numbers stay closed. Companion pages are intentionally kept out of public navigation and search results.
Does the Companion require an account?+
No. Scanned Puzzle access, pen choices, and puzzle progress are stored locally in the browser on the device you use.
Will my choices and progress sync across devices?+
No. Device-local information does not automatically move to another phone, tablet, browser, or computer, and it may be lost if that browser’s site data is cleared.
